Tarot by Comparison™ – The Chariot Tarot Card Meaning

Let’s continue the Tarot by Comparison™ with The Chariot tarot card.

For this comparison, I have used these decks: Crystal Visions Tarot, The Every Day Tarot, Happy Tarot, and The Gilded Tarot.

The Chariot card was originally a little tricky for me to understand, because when I looked at the card(s) I saw someone traveling. But upon further inspection you might see that the feature is actually the “opposites”, which represent choices.

The charioteer is in fact “traveling”, but it’s more about the journey through life, and they are in control of the choices that need to be made. The charioteer is holding tightly on the reigns, representing their control over the situation and the choices they face.

As you can see, there is one choice represented by dark coloring and one represented by light coloring: this is good vs. bad, right vs. wrong. However, you should also note the subtle dark in the light and light in the dark; the “yin-yang”.

Wherever there is good there is bad, wherever there is bad there is good. This goes for life choices and for people just the same. After all, we wouldn’t understand what good meant, if we never experienced something bad, right?
