For this comparison, I have used these decks: Everyday Witch Tarot, Wizards Tarot, The Green Witch Tarot, and The Golden Girls Tarot.
The Moon Card is all about illusions. This can be in form of deception, misunderstanding, or fear projections.

The Moon card comes to us to tell us to pay attention, because everything may not be as it seems. You need to rely on your intuition and set aside fears, so you can fully see what is in front of you.
This is also a good time to pay attention to the cycles of the moon and what significance that may have in the current setting of your life or situation. This is especially true if this card comes up as center focus. For example, Full Moon is the time or letting go of what no longer serves you or the New Moon is the time for manifesting something new.

But how do we get this definition from these images?
In Wizards Tarot we see a giant crayfish coming out of the water under a full moon, as two dogs stand by in a “fear” stance. The size of the animal is an illusion causing unwarranted fear. Side note: Crayfish in tarot represents the ego and a giant ego is also someone being under an illusion of self-importance.
In the Green Witch Tarot, there is a witch standing under the full moon, which appears to have a smirk on it’s face; a clear illusion.
While I admit The Golden Girls Tarot doesn’t really help to drive home the definition well, Dorothy sitting on a crescent moon does remind us that “it’s just a phase” and whatever we’re experiencing is likely to pass, so there’s no need to live in fear.
In Everyday Witch Tarot we see a witch flying past the full moon on her broom while a domestic black cat looks into a pond seeing a large panther in its reflection; a clear illusion.
